REALTORS® are experts
It may be tempting to DIY buying or selling your home. Plenty of information is available on the internet for guidance, but there is so much more to the process. You want a real estate agent involved to help you avoid mistakes that could cost you a pretty penny.
Buying or selling your home involves many documents including legal and financial documents. It also involves real estate terminology. Your REALTOR® will help you understand it all.
Your home search is a journey, and your REALTOR® will guide you through the entire process within your discussed budget.
You can also count on a real estate agent to be in your corner during negotiations. They will represent you with your needs in mind.
If your real estate agent does not have the answer to your question, they very likely know someone who will. They are linked to other professionals such as mortgage brokers, lawyers, home stagers, designers just to name a few.
The REALTOR.ca website is accessible to all, but here’s the catch: not all information is accessible to you. REALTORS® have access to much more in the multiple listing service (MLS) system. Based on your criterias they can help you not only find listings, and filter out listings that are no longer on the market. But they can see listings that will soon be on the market.
So much goes into buying or selling your home. For most people this is one of their biggest transactions, emotions can be all over the place. Having a REALTOR® guide you through the process will help you remain focused.
Bound by the REALTOR® Code
Always make sure your real estate agent is a REALTOR® by simply asking them if they’re a member of the CREA[CB3] . Basically, if they are licensed to list or sell property.
All REALTORS® must follow the REALTOR® Code.
